Beyt Al Chai

Beyt Al Chai Hotel takes its name from the history of the building, which in years gone past, used to be a tea house. Thanks to its palm-shaded rooftop, sunset views and speciality spiced tea, Beyt al Chai was a popular meeting place of Zanzibar's nobility in times gone by - a flavour which it retains to this day. Ideally located in the famous Kelele Square under the shade of ancient trees and the tranquil Indian Ocean surrounds, Beyt Al Chai Hotel is the perfect place from which to explore the Old Stone Town, Zanzibar Island and its historical buildings and monuments.

The comfortably furnished lounge and bar area proved the perfect place to relax and sip drinks after a busy day exploring Stone Town. A large variety of restaurants are in safe and easy walking distance from the hotel, and provide an enjoyable way to explore Zanzibar's balmy evenings and candle-lit streets.
