Day 1  : Antananarivo
Spend time exploring 'Tana', Madagascar's capital. Stroll through the vibrant street markets or if there is time, climb up to the palace, overlooking the region. The city's name translates to 'City of a thousand' from the time a thousand men conquered the hill the palace is built on.

Days 2-5 : Ile Ste Marie
Fly to Ile Ste Marie. This tiny island is often referred to as 'garden island'. With pristine beaches, secluded bays and a rich history involving pirates and shipwrecks, this is a great place to get away from it all. There is plenty of free time to relax or enjoy the many activities on offer. Search for sunken treasure on snorkelling or scuba diving excursions or cycle around the island. Between July and September it is possible to travel out the channel between the island and mainland to see massive humpback whales glide by.

Day 6 : Antananarivo
Return to Antananarivo airport after breakfast where the package ends late morning.
